Strava: Hot Girl Walk United
Confronting exercise inequity.
When it comes to exercise, there’s a massive gender gap with women working out 25% less than men. According to research, a primary driver of this gap is confidence, with 43% of women reporting being harassed while working out.
To confront this, Strava partnered with Mia Lind to launch a global Hot Girl Walk movement to celebrate female empowerment and gender equality.
Launching on International Women’s Day, Strava united their community globally with 250,000 participants in 190 countries. Together, they walked 8 billion steps - 3.6 million miles - far exceeding goals and raising $250,000 for GRLS.
